Josie

Josie was found in a shelter in March of 2007. Why anyone would have discarded such as amazing whippet is a mystery to us. When Patty picked her up and brought her home, she was incredibly thin as a consequence of dental disease which included 3 tooth root abscesses that were making it difficult for her to eat. Thanks to the efforts of our veterinary dentist friend Dr. Rosenblad, Josie’s teeth were treated and she soon gained 5 lbs and started playing with the other whippets, chasing chipmunks in the yard, and enjoying life. In May, Josie went to live with a special friend, Dr. Wimmer, who loves her dearly. She now goes for walks every day in a lovely park, plays with squeaky toys, and snuggles up in a warm bed with her Greyhound buddy Matt.
