Sherlock lived with his littermate sister Ms. Marple in the home of Patty’s mother Joan. Sherlock was the one pup who had not been spoken for when the young Bunnygetters went to their new homes at 8 weeks of age. On a visit to Tulsa to deliver Ms. Marple, Joan admired the shy brindle boy and decided to keep him along with his sister. It was a decision she would never regret as Sherlock was the most loving and affectionate whippet anyone could ever wish for. Joan used to take the prancing pair for walks in the neighborhood and get admiring looks because Ms. Marple had a patch of dark brindling on her head that was a perfect match to Sherlock’s brindle color. Sherlock died of an uncommon vascular disorder at 12 ½ years of age; his passing left a whole in the hearts of those who loved this very sweet boy.
